MULTIKULTI
Cultivation of previously uncultivated microorganisms
from different aquatic habitats
Project goals
For the cultivation of previously uncultivated microorganisms, our vision is the development of a bioreactor system that simulates habitat conditions as closely as possible and – controlled by biological measured variables – makes target organisms available for systematic isolation experiments in the long term.
Exploratory phase
The exploratory phase was divided into three development phases, the goals of which were mainly achieved through joint workshops and video conferences. During the project meetings, the entire team worked together on the MultiKulti concept in a result-oriented manner.
During the project meetings, the entire team worked together on the MultiKulti concept in a result-oriented manner. The time between the workshops was mainly used for literature research, the conception of the research project, but also for preliminary experiments and the preparation and follow-up of the workshops.

Work packages 07/2021 - 06/2024
To implement the Multikulti concept, the project was subdivided into five work packages (WP), which enable close cooperation between the partners and the integration of the various expertise.
