On 2nd and 3rd of June 2022, the MultiKulti group met for a project meeting at the Department of Energy Process Engineering at the FAU in Nuremberg, Bavaria.
At first the status of the reactor construction and its further progress were presented and discussed. The virtual 3D model of the reactor was very impressive and gave everyone an insight into the dimensions and geometry of the novel cultivation setup. Additionally, a tour of the department’s premises gave impressions of the reactors and methods already in use there.
The main focus of the meeting was on the presentations of the individual project partners. The results achieved so far were presented, eagerly discussed and the next project goals were set. Furthermore, there was an online meeting, together with exteral Co-authors, to work on a joint publication. Afterwards, organizational matters were discussed and the next project meetings were planned.
We are glad to be able to meet in real life again and leave Nuremberg with many new impressions and a lot of inspiration. Many thanks to Prof. Dr. Katharina Herkendell and Thomas Trabold for the warm welcome at FAU and the organization of the meeting.
