In the first MultiKulti webinar of 2023, we welcome Prof. Dr. Costantino Vetriani from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA on Thu, 12/01/2023 at 4:15 pm.
Costa Vetriani’s Deep-Sea Microbiology Lab focuses on the physiology, ecology, and evolution of archaea and bacteria from geothermal environments.
In his talk “Isolation and characterization of Nautilia sp. strain PV-1, a piezophilic Epsilonproteobacterium isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent” Costa Vetriani will take us into the world of deep-sea hydrothermal vents (black smokers). He will talk about the difficulties in sampling, culturing and characterizing pressure-loving microorganisms from deep-sea environments.
Interested guests are welcome to receive the access data for the online meeting by mail to info@multikultivierung.de.
