The sixth project meeting of the MultiKulti team took place at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) at the beginning of February.
The main focus of the meeting was on various organizational areas, but the reactor and the progress of the individual sub-projects were also discussed. A special highlight for us was the guided tour through the laboratories of the FAU, which ended at the MultiKulti reactor. For most of us, it was the first time we had been able to see and touch the reactor. It was a very impressive feeling, as it is bigger than many of us expected. As only a few work steps and tests still need to be carried out, it can soon be put into operation for the first trials.
The cultivating project partners also reported on the progress made in their respective sub-projects, followed by lively scientific discussions and an exchange of ideas.
On Tuesday evening, we brought the meeting to a close after a sporting evening program.
We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Katharina Herkendell and Thomas Trabold for their hospitality in Nuremberg and for organizing a great and eventful project meeting.
